APALC Need Immigrant Stories NOW!
The U.S. Senate and the White House made the announcement yesterday of an “agreement” to move forward on immigration reform. The actual language of the “bill” probably won’t be available till late today, with the Senate slated to begin floor debate on Monday.
APALC has been requested by various national news media, including the Washington Post, for stories of folks who will be impacted by this latest proposal, which may effectively do away with much of the family-based immigration. If you know of anyone who applied for a relative BEFORE May 2005, and is willing to speak to the media about their situation, PLEASE CONTACT TAMMY PENG (APALC) AT ONCE at a href=”mailto:tpeng@apalc.org”>tpeng@apalc.org.
