Mercy House -

A non-profit organization whose mission is to be the leader in ending homelessness by providing a unique system of dignified housing alternatives, programs and supportive services. The homeless population that that Mercy House serves includes families, adult men and women, mothers and their children, and persons living with HIV/AIDS. (40)Korean Community Services -

A non-profit organization aimed to improve the quality of life for Korean Americans in Southern California through community-based programs and services. Some of the KCS youth-focused programs include volunteer and counseling and parent support group. (60)Precious Life (Theresa Murphy, ED) – She COULD attend. Precious life works with homeless pregnant women. (20)

Boys & Girls Club – They could use as few or as many as we can spare…even 10 would be great – She COULD attend.  She also said that just school supplies would be useful for them.  I’m thinking because the B & G Club is so large, we don’t necessarily want to single out ONE chapter….what do you think?  I WAS thinking that IF we are able to secure some free stuff from some groups, maybe I can have my intern who is going to be volunteering there bring some of the material on behalf of OCA-OC….just a thought.
